We do not have a physical storefront. Ozark Exotics operates a small, private breeding facility dedicated to the health and well-being of our animals that is not open to the public. However, you can meet us and see our available turtles and tortoises in person at reptile expos, including the Show Me Reptile Show and other select events. Be sure to follow us on social media for announcements about upcoming shows! 

We specialize in captive-bred tortoises and turtles, with a strong focus on well-started, healthy specimens. Our current availability varies by season.  Check out our currently available turtles and tortoises here.

Absolutely not.  All of our turtles and tortoises are captive-bred. We strongly believe in the importance of preserving wild populations and protecting natural ecosystems. Removing animals from the wild not only harms local populations but can also introduce health risks to captive collections. By focusing on captive-bred animals, we help reduce pressure on wild populations while providing healthier, well-adjusted reptiles for responsible keepers.  

Yes! We take great care in raising our hatchlings beyond the fragile early weeks to ensure they are strong eaters, active, and growing steadily before they become available. 

If you’re a first-time keeper, we recommend Hermann’s or Russian Tortoises, as they stay relatively small, adapt well to captivity and are quite hardy and easy to care for. If you have experience and want something unique, we can guide you toward other options. 

Right now, we focus solely on turtles and tortoises, but we are considering expanding into other reptiles in the future.  Follow us on social media for updates on new breeding projects and more!

Yes! We ship exclusively via FedEx Priority Overnight within the continental U.S. (except AK and HI) using reptile-safe, climate-controlled packaging to ensure safe arrival.  We offer a conditional live and healthy guarantee per our terms and conditions.

Our shipping fee is very competitive at just $55 regardless of size or weight. 

Yes we do!  We can deliver in the St. Louis, MO area up to 50 miles from 63366.  There is a small fee for local delivery based on distance.
